More than 200 different factors influence the ranking of your site in search results. Improving all of these SEO elements can be helpful; some ranking factors are more important than others. For example, WooCommerce rich snippets could make your site stand out among others.

In this post, we will discuss the most important elements of SEO. These are the elements to focus on when you are just starting and want to get the most out of your SEO.

A Secure and Accessible Website

Unsurprisingly, the first factor in our SEO ranking has to do with the right URL. In particular, it is a URL that Google robots can easily access and crawl. In other words, Google needs to visit the URL and view the contents of the page to find out what the page is. To help the robots, you will need A website built with a well-designed website builder.

A robots.txt file that tells Google where and where to find information about your site. A sitemap is listing all your pages. If you manage a WordPress site, you can customize your Sitemap with SEO all in one. If not, you can use a web-based sitemap generator.

HTTPS is not a factor in deciding whether or not to index a page, but Google’s own Mueller tweeted that it was “an easy factor” and that “HTTPS is good for users.” So if you haven’t already enabled SSL security on your site, open it.

Remove Anything that Slows Down Your Site

Page speed is a critical factor in SEO. In the past, you may not have a slow website to load. I remember waiting about five minutes until the popular news center was fully loaded. I’m sure you can do something about it. It’s never been a good experience, but it’s a death kiss in today’s market.

A slow site will frustrate users and deter them from buying your product. Data from Strange Loop shows that just one second of page load lag can lose up to 7% on conversions. In addition, potential buyers find a slow website unreliable.

Page speed is also critical for search engines. According to EConsultancy, “40% of people leave a site that takes more than 3 seconds to load”. So while companies are beginning to realize opportunities to attract leads and increase sales through search engine optimization, there is a huge need for speed.

This means that if your pages slow down, regardless of the quality of your content or the professional design of your website, you will lose the battle for standard discs. Remove unnecessary elements that are slowing down your website. If you’re a WordPress user, disable plugins that you don’t need. Also, pull out the sidebar and paste in just the main widgets.

SEO Elements: Understand User Intent

What follows is the user’s intent behind the keywords, which is essential to the success of any SEO campaign. For example, suppose your audience usually looks for “gadgets I want to build” as their primary starting point.

However, by searching for keywords, you will find “retail equipment,” “home-made equipment,” and “equipment used to perform specific tasks.” All of these options result in at least a ten-fold increase in the number of searches that return to your page layout.

It would be nice to involve them in the whole SEO process now, right? If you hadn’t done this keyword research and made adjustments based on changes in your audience’s search behavior’s market behavior, you probably wouldn’t have found the deeper keywords to target.

It’s about how you approach keyword research depth. The closer you get, the more likely it is to find what you are looking for.

Content Quality & Keyword Usage

Google has argued that creating quality content that provides users with the information they are looking for is one of the most important elements of SEO. Google wants to put quality content at the top of its results pages because it provides the best experience for its users.

Ensure that your pages contain accurate and useful information on topics and that users are getting the information they are looking for when they click your page. The following tactic can cause Google to interpret your content as poor quality or even spam:

  • Duplicated content
  • Automatically generated content
  • Content with little substance
  • Content unnaturally stuffed with keywords
  • Doorway pages

In the past, sites ranked sites by mixing their pages with keywords to be difficult to read. However, this practice can now significantly affect your ranking.

Although search engines are increasingly looking beyond keywords for a page, using keywords is still the most important element of SEO.

You need to add your target keyword to your title tag, H1 heading, and meta description of your page. Also, use it multiple times in your content and test it on around 100 one-word pieces of content.

These aren’t hard and fast rules, but they can be helpful. The most important thing is to make sure that your keywords sound natural to your copies and will improve your user experience rather than make it worse.

SEO Elements: Link to Other Websites

Links to other blogs are critical to growth. Some people think that links to relevant and authoritative content pages are bad because they take people away from your page. But I don’t think so. Link building is a key part of a smart search engine optimization strategy. I link to many quality websites and resources, including my direct competitors.

Why? Because it helps you. Linking sends trackable traffic, making your website more valuable and more scalable. If you have read my blogs, you will find that I regularly link to different websites. Every time I write a new post, I link to other verified websites as necessary.

You can’t expect to receive from others if you don’t want to give first. For example, if you want to get inbound links from authoritative blogs, the easiest way to do that is to show your willingness to link to those blogs from your content. Of course, you only need to link to content pages of huge value.  This is good SEO practice.

More importantly, you can let influencers know if you link to them, and if your post is worth it, they can link to you, share the post, or even send you a huge list of email subscribers. Link building is also about quality, not quantity. You will trust your niche more when you have multiple authoritative links instead of a dozen low-quality links.
